Tryon Hill is a historic 1929 Cape Cod thoughtfully reimagined for a couple beginning a new chapter in the Pacific Northwest. Drawn to the home’s quiet architectural character and sense of history, the design honors its original proportions and detailing while introducing a richer, more expressive interior life.
Guided by a palette of muted jewel tones and natural materials, the home layers warmth and texture throughout. Aged wood, natural stone, plaster, and unlacquered brass create a tactile backdrop for furnishings and artwork that bring personality and depth to each space.
At the heart of the home is a small room tucked between the dining room and kitchen that revealed itself early in the process. What began as an undefined space became the home’s salon—an intimate gathering room where conversations stretch late into the evening and the homeowners’ love of hosting comes to life.
The result is a home that feels both rooted and evolving: a place where historic character meets contemporary expression, and where each room was designed to feel warm, personal, and deeply lived in.
